All 37 cat species are listed under five different categories on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The cats are listed under ‘’Critically endangered’’, ‘’Endangered’’, ‘’Vulnerable’’, ‘’Near threatened’’ and ‘’Least concern’’.

Critically endangered
Asiatic cheetah (subspecies of cheetah) and the Iberian lynx (subspecies of lynx).

Endangered
Andean cat, Asiatic lion (subspecies of lion), Borneo bay cat, Flat-headed cat, Fishing cat, Snow leopard and the Tiger.

Vulnerable
African lion, Black footed cat, Cheetah, Chinese mountain cat, Guiña, Mainland clouded leopard, Marbled cat, Northern tiger cat, Rusty-spotted cat, Southern tiger cat and the Sunda clouded leopard.

Near threatened
African golden cat, Asiatic golden cat, Geoffroy’s cat, Jaguar, Leopard, Margay, Pallas’s cat, Pampas cat and Sand cat.

Least concern
African wildcat, Asiatic wildcat, Bobcat (subspecies of lynx), Canada lynx (subspecies of lynx), Caracal, Eurasian lynx (subspecies of lynx), European wildcat, Jaguarundi, Jungle cat, Leopard cat, Ocelot, Puma and Serval.

Really good post! I just wanted to say that the Iberian, Eurasian, and Canadian lynx are not actually subspecies of lynx, they’re species within the lynx genus :3
